BJJ In Roseburg: Open Mat Food Drive 2 Results!
On Saturday, June 6th Performance Martial Arts Academy hosted their second edition of the Open Mat Food Drive. Each participant brought in a minimum of 10 non-perishable food items. The food collected was given to the United Community Action Network (UCAN) food bank. At the end of the day there was over 450 lbs. of food donated, and nearly $100 raised in the raffle for the prize pack donated by Oss Clothing and RFS Gear and Apparel. Over 30 martial artists gathered to train BJJ in Roseburg, including 4 black belts, several brown, purple and blue belts. This was, by far, the most high-level grapplers that had been in Southern Oregon at the same time. As well as the adults that came out in support, there was a strong showing by the PMAA youth members who took time out of their weekends to support the event. The community of Oregon martial artists shined once again. Stay tuned for more news on community events, and Open Mat Food Drive 3.
