Colby Sims: Youth BJJ Assistant Instructor
Brown Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu | Green Belt in Judo
Coach Colby Sims began training at Performance Martial Arts Academy in 2014. He was promoted to Brown belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in 2022 by Professor Ryan Cunningham, and green belt in Judo in 2017 Sensei Gerald Lewis.
If you’ve been at the academy the last 5 years you would have seen Coach Colby. He has been training 5-6 days per week since he started, and is extremely dedicated. He began volunteering in the youth program, and is one of the kids favorite instructors. Colby is an avid competitor and has racked up several titles in his young career. Colby’s passion for Jiu-Jitsu, work ethic, and kindness to his teammates make him a tremendous asset to the school.
Aside from martial arts, Colby is enjoys fishing, skate boarding and meme curation.
