Self-Defense in Roseburg! PMAA holds first FREE clinic
On Sunday, January 25th, 2015, Performance Martial Arts Academy taught their first fFREE clinic focused on Self-Defense in Roseburg! Coaches Ryan Cunningham, Seth McWilliams and Chris Guasteferro showed some great Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu methods on how to safely maneuver through some very common self-defense situations to the employees of Roseburg’s My Coffee & Wine Experience.
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) was developed in such a manner that allows for a smaller, weaker individual to rely upon leverage and technique to survive, escape and defeat a much larger, less skilled attacker. This makes BJJ a wonderful asset to anyone’s self-defense repertoire.
Ryan Cunningham has a brown belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, as well as a black belt in Judo; he has been teaching self-defense techniques to groups since 2010. If you, or your business, are interested in arranging your own clinic on self-defense in Roseburg, please contact us to set up a date. Remember, the most important lesson in self-defense it to avoid potentially dangerous situations, but in the event that this isn’t possible, you owe it to yourself and loved-ones to be prepared.
